Auburn proved that they could hang with a #1-ranked Georgia team last season by mopping the floor with the Dawgs, 40-17 at Jordan-Hare Stadium. Kirby Smart’s bunch returned the favor three weeks later by defeating Auburn, 28-7, in Atlanta at the SEC Championship.

A key takeaway from 2017’s two meetings, is that this rivalry is fun again.

While it can be harmful to the ol’ ticker, it is great to know that both teams are competitive, and will give the fans a great showing every time they meet. I believe that Auburn and Georgia will meet twice this season, for the second year in a row, the Tigers need to win this game in order to make it happen. Winning it in Athens will show the nation just how good Auburn is.
