You may be cool, but you’ll never be “high fiving your homeboy on a shallow crossing route on the way to beating the #1 team in the country” cool. @WillHastings7 @thaRD5 #AUBvsALA #IronBowl pic.twitter.com/sm1n9IgAC7

11/25/17: #1 Alabama 14 @ #6 Auburn 26
- Gus Malzahn outcoached Nick Saban. Auburn’s gameplan was near flawless and worked to perfection.
- The score is not indicative of just how bad Auburn controlled the game and manhandled the #1 ranked Tide.
- Jarrett Stidham again was impressive with his command of the huddle as he went 21 of 28 for 237 yards against the nation’s #1 defense. He also showed a lot of grit and toughness running for 51 yards and another touchdown on a hell of a 16 yard scamper that saw the Texas native lower his shoulder and plow into the endzone for the Auburn score.
- Rising senior Ryan Davis hauled in 11 catches for 139 yards receiving and juked future NFL 1st-rounder Minkah Fitzpatrick so bad, @DrunkAubie tweeted a hilarious video that went viral.
- Paul Finebaum and Kirk Herbstreit both said that Auburn should be #1 after defeating the two previous #1’s Georgia and Alabama, but the Tigers were ranked #2 when the CFB Playoff Poll was released.
